Hi,
I want to use a rewrite rule like
postmaster@??? <> F
i.e. mail sent with a postmaster@??? address should be regarded as
a bounce message with null sender, subject to ignore_bounce_errors_after,
for example.
However, if I do this, then exim dies (core dump) after the To: address
in the SMTP conversation.
If I use the S flag, as such:
^<postmaster\@my\.domain> <> FS
and I try:
sendmail -brw \<postmaster@???\> then I get
2003-10-17 12:53:04 Rewrite of <postmaster@???> yielded unparseable address:
missing or malformed local part in address <>
This issue was raised in 2000 on the exim-users list, but I'm not sure if there was
a solution:
http://www.exim.org/pipermail/exim-users/Week-of-Mon-20000515/018190.html
In any event, exim surely shouldn't die with the first rewrite rule above.
Cheers
Stephen
