Hello Exim users,

Since upgrading to 4.24 I am seeing alot of

"SMTP protocol violation: synchronization error (input sent without waiting for greeting)"

I haven't seen anything in common with these hosts. Some seem to be client machines
using som MuA while the others are MDaemon server by Deerfield, or whatever it
is now ;)

I have searched the archives and saw a suggestion which, to my understanding, seemed
Outlook-centric. It suggested running another Exim daemon on port 465. I have done
this by basically starting another Exim daemon with "-bd -oX 465 -tls-on-connect"
I have tested if this is running using

openssl s_client -connect ns2.wananchi.com:465

.. and it behaves.

What I am lost about is how all this should fit in with the MDaemon problem.
I don't think MDaemon is as dumb as M$ Outlook.

Any advise will be most welcome.

        cheers
       - wash
