[Exim] OT: thank-you-mails to list okay?

hello (again)...

I was just wondering: is it considered 'noise' on this list, if you
send 'thank you' messages to people answering your questions?

i don't want seem impolite and give credit where credit is due but at
the same time don't want to step on toes by producing noise...

a practical aspect would be, of course, that such mails end up in the
archives where people searching for answers can find out, whether
suggested solutions actually work...

and while we're offtopic: i'm really glad i've switched to exim, thanks
to all who work on it and provide support!
