The remote MTA appears to have been configured to reject bounces
by rejecting MAIL FROM:<> - as such rejecting the message from
that domain at SMTP time is perfectly reasonable, especially if
you don't want to accept mail which you can't return to the sender
in event of delivery failure.

Also note that the legal syntax is "MAIL FROM:<address>" and not
"MAIL FROM: <address>"
