Derrick,

I just went through your very useful "How to integrate spamassassin with exim"
document.

I run Debian stable which comes with exim 3.x and I followed your description.
Now I see in mainlog entries like

2003-09-24 21:23:01 Start queue run: pid=10057
2003-09-24 21:23:02 1A2FE6-0002cH-00 <= rdorsch@??? U=mail P=spam-scanned
S=2365 id=200309242112.20116.rdorsch@???
2003-09-24 21:23:02 1A2FE6-0002cH-00 => /home/rd/Maildir/ <rd@localhost>
D=userforward T=address_directory
2003-09-24 21:23:02 1A2FE6-0002cH-00 Completed
2003-09-24 21:23:02 1A2F42-0002aH-00 => rd <rd@localhost> D=spamcheck_director
T=spamcheck
2003-09-24 21:23:02 1A2F42-0002aH-00 Completed
2003-09-24 21:23:02 1A2FE6-0002cS-00 <= jyzyot38cf1@??? U=mail
P=spam-scanned S=3937 id=x$t30282tdr68-vii7m-3@be0.4w8s
2003-09-24 21:23:02 1A2FE6-0002cS-00 => /home/rd/Maildir/ <rd@localhost>
D=userforward T=address_directory
2003-09-24 21:23:02 1A2FE6-0002cS-00 Completed
2003-09-24 21:23:02 1A2F53-0002az-00 => rd <rd@localhost> D=spamcheck_director
T=spamcheck
2003-09-24 21:23:02 1A2F53-0002az-00 Completed
2003-09-24 21:23:02 End queue run: pid=10057

I added the filter to my .forward (which works otherwise), but I can't see any
SPAM filtered out.

It is supicous, that I can't see an header entry from spamc/spamd, e.g.

Should there be an X-Spam-Status in any mail I receive? Any hint what could be
wrong is welcome....

Thanks,
Rainer

PS: Please cc to me, because I am not subscribed on the exim users list...
