I currently create/test under Solaris (though this will be changing to
Linux fairly soon). I get a popup box saying "No message selected" when
I do that.

It's probably something in the X libraries. I do not consider myself an
X specialist - I hacked up Eximon a long time ago (originally it was for
Smail) and haven't ever tidied it up or researched the underlying
library calls properly.

I've made a note of the effect. In a month or so, when, if all goes
well, I have a Linux workstation, I'll see if I can reproduce it. A very
quick look at the code suggests that it puts up "No message selected" as
if it were a menu with a title but no selectable entries. I guess that
there may be a difference in the way the libraries are handling the
calls that Eximon makes.
