I was introduced to Exim by RedHat! Version 7.1 Professional came with an
Exim RPM on one of the "extra" CD's in the set. Unfortunately it was a 3.x
version, but it was still way better than Sendmail! I uninstalled Sendmail
first. After installing the RedHat 3.x (3.36?) RPM, which set up all the auto
start at boot, etc., it was a snap to recompile a 4.x version and simply
replace the executables. Works great!
