I noticed a while ago on the list a few people who use exiscan to bounce
unwanted file extensions. We use exiscan to reject virus infected emails
by using it with Kaspersky AV. However I believe this works by checking
at the data part of the smtp transaction and rejecting an email after it
has been scanned and found to be infected. In order to save load on the
server I would like to reject any email with pif/exe etc extensions. I
know how to do this with exiscan (as it is in the docs) but I was
wondering about the order exiscan does things in. I want it to do the
extension check before the av check so I do not waste resource av
checking an extension with a .pif. Also what error message does exiscan
give when it bounces these.
