stock installation doesn't have web admin, biased towards email admin, long
in the tooth. i know it well and use it, but i tend to recommend against
new installations.
majordomo 2 exists, and is basically a new piece of software. i've looked
at it but not made the jump.
also, there's exilist, which is still very young, but has some promise.
