Hi Phillip and hi all,
this post is just to show other experiences. Personally i prefer to buy
those books of special interest and importance. I have to recognize that
the rest of my documentation are pdfs and docs (ppt, doc, and so) stored
in my ftp (to allow others to access my information).
About other authors, i know that spead a book is not an easy job, and
others realize too, so they shell for a dollar or euro, or ok, a bit
more expensieve, but for a pound each chapter of the book. Why to do so?
Well some of the readers all only interested in get some chapters where
they have some doubts. They don't like the idea to buy a whole book just
to read a couple of chapters. I think this is the main problem users in
the way to buy a book find. Didn't you? This could be a good idea if you
matain the sell via both ways.
In my case i have plans to order your book via LinITX (forwarded by UIT)
next moth. This moth i have bought 4 more and i have to share the
expenses :-)
Nevertheless let me tell you that a job like yours (621 pages datailing
all features of Exim) is deserve to be paid. Only is my personal
impression. I hone nobody feels to be offended.
