[Exim] calling log_write() in transport

Hello Philip,

Can I call log_write() function during transport time?

In particular, I wish to log something in appendfile transport, say,
appendfile.c(2908) in appendfile_transport_entry().

Actually I'm trying to develop a replicating patch for the appendfile
transport (MAILDIR). Did You mention something like this around?

The idea looks really ugly for now, and I see no other suitable
solution :(
