Hi,
I'm running debian woody, exim 3.36 & I cannot get exim to forward mail
via a mailrelay to a remote account. I'm trying to configure my system
as a 'satellite system' ... local delivery is working fine (mailrelay is
always available - not on dialup), exim seems to ignore forwarding info
(i've tried both a .forward & a .procmail.rc in the user home directory)
/var/log/exim/mainlog lists local delivery as successful but there are
no attempts to send remotely (thus no errors). After running eximconfig
I can successfully invoke exim from the command line using:
echo "Subject: foobar" | exim -d1 _remote_email_address
It just seems not to even try to forward mail automatically, can anybody
help me with what I'm missing?
