Be careful - you should rather say

    ${quote:\
        $local_part${sg {$local_part_suffix}{-([^-]*)\$}{}}\
     }@$domain


since $local_part_suffix can contain some characters which will make the
new resulting address invalid (e.g. a space). Just to be on the safe
side.
