I've been utterly amazed this week by how poorly so many email clients
function with SMTP

Here's what I've found
Apple's Mail.app on osx seems to be the only one that works as it should

Win Eudora doesn't support SSL unless you recompile ssl on the server
with some flags turned off
Win MS Outlook Express won't really support SSL on anything other than
25
Win MS Outlook Office Edition will not try to AUTH to the server despite
however many boxes you check
Mac MS Entourage doesn't seem to like the idea of tls at all (though it
will at least cram-md5 passwords)

Anyone have a complete/better list ?
