It is supposed to help with internal users blasting spam scripts. We are
pretty closed as far as external relays are concerned, but there is always a
chance of internal spammers.

exim4 runs quite well with mailman

but it is a list server - not a spam filter

you can stop non members (or even non admins) from posting to it, if
thats what you mean
