entourage is either not accepting the certificate -- i'm working on that
but i believe i have non-ssl as an option, and between the entourage
screens and exim_mainlog, the authentication method isn't supported
either
i eliminated a lot of errors in exim_mainlog when i unchecked the
'simultaneous server commands' box, or something like that
