Have the following situation.
I have set up virtual domains, domain1com (default) and domain2.com.
In the alias file for domain2.com, I have the following.
------------------- clip ---------------------
jack.frost: jf123@???
jim.beam: jb123@???
jenny.jones jj.123@???
group: jack.frost,\
jim.beam,\
jenny.jones
----------------- end clip-------------------
( I do this to set up simple groups in my community , never with more than a
dozen or more receipients).
When you send email to "group@???", Jim and Jenny get the email, but
the email to Jack is returned saying that "jack.frost@???" in
invalid.
I have tried putting group in as:
-------------------- clip -----------------
group: jack.frost@???,\
jim.beam@???,\
jenny.jones@???
---------------- end clip ---------------
then Jack gets his email, and jim and jenny dont. Their messages state that
"group@???" is invalid.
I can verify these using "exim -bv -v group@???".
Has anyone else seen this?
Can anyone explain what is happening?
Thank You
