[Exim] quota

Hi,

in my maildir-appendfile transport I'm using a quota limit. When this
quota is exceeded, the new messages gets deferred:

2003-06-20 06:49:21 19TDpx-00057t-QG == marten@???
<lehmann@???> R=virtual_mailbox T=virtual_delivery defer (-22):
mailbox is full (MTA-imposed quota exceeded while writing to
tmp/1056084561.H835431P19711.vm16.variomedia.de)

Is it possible to tell Exim that new messages fail, so the sending
mailserver doesn't try to send the same message again and again, but
sends an appropriate error-message to the mailfrom immediately?
