OK, I reran it without the "hosts = " option and then with hosts = with
only ip addresses (both ipv4 and ipv6) and it worked fine.
So it seems to me that it is related to the resolving of a hostname that
has an A and an AAAA record but no A6 records.
Did anyone noticed something similar?
