In fact, this is what I have done. I've attached the script for reference,
which may not be fit for human consumption etc etc.

For the MySQL to work, you will need a user called "contacts" who has SELECT
access to the relevant fields for the relevant tables. (PhpMyAdmin couldn't
cope with this, so I had to swot on GRANT usage.)
