I should have been more explicit here. I am trying to use it as a condition within a router definition in my configure file. In this context, 'senders = ...' works, but 'sender_domains = ...' causes the error message 'option "sender_domains" unknown'.

sender_domains is no valid option. It is a valid
condition for SMTP ACLs, though.
