Restated issue:

When trying to connect w/ Apache server running Exim 3.36,
Outlook interrupts you with "Enter Network Password" pop-up,
with username & password correctly filled in. Eudora acts
similarly, but you have to re-enter the password.

Thanks for the saving password suggestion, but the user &
Password are correctly filled in with Outlook. So the problem
is somewhere else.

The popup occurs when web hosting accounts are created or
deleted on the server. (Not email, but hosting accounts.)

Could recreating the list of valid account ids somehow
require Exim to be restarted?

Even in the MUA, isn't Outlook talking with Exim, or are
there layers in between?
