Exim is an MTA. MTAs really should concentrate on moving mail, not
messing with it. That job should be done by other programs. IMHO, of
course. :-) Exim has already moved onto the slippery slope rather
further than I originally intended in this regard. Every extension of
this kind introduces the possibility of poorer performance.
You will gather that I am not keen on this kind of extension.
Nevertheless, I will put the idea on the Wish List.
One of the reasons I invented the local_scan() interface was so that I
didn't keep having to invent ad hoc mechanisms for different
modifications. Inside local_scan() you can remove header lines easily
enough.
