[Exim] eximon segmentation fault

Hi,

I've searched all over the list archives, the internet in general but couldn't find an answer to this. When I start
eximon, it crashes with the following:

Exim Monitor version 1.70 (compiled 4-Mar-2002 23:05:12) initializing
Warning: Unable to load any usable ISO8859-1 font
Segmentation fault

I'm using Debian stable with a 2.4 kernel. Is it really a font problem? Any idea how to diagnose this?
