E-Mail addresses like the above simply don't exist.

Domain literals have the IP address embraced by [], so you should use something
like root@???. You also need to enable processing of IP literals in
Exim's config file.

Provided that your setup is ok, and that you're running Exim on port 25 (don't
know whether the subject still applies), and that port 25 isn't filtered you
should be able to receive messages directed to the above (corrected) address.
