Ok, I've set up my exim.conf file according to your http://www.hserus
net/exim.html.

I'm able to send mail to the internet, but I'm not able to recieve any
incoming mail.
I've tried sending to root@80.111.122.175 (my current IP) from my Windows PC
but it doesn't reach my linux PC.

I use a domainname.xx in the exim file, but any mail to a user@???
is redirected by my domainname-supplier, so thats why i'm sending mail
directly to my IP.

Any suggestions why I can't recieve any incoming mail from the net?

thanks
Frode

Even if you do, how do you get other people to send you mail on port 25, or
to open up mailservers on another port so that you can deliver to them?

You have two alternatives

1. Set your exim to smarthost mail through your ISP's smtp server
(http://www.hserus.net/exim.html)

or

2. Smarthost (using AUTH say) through someone's mailserver on the MSA port
587 which several ISPs use to offer relay services to customers facing port
25 blocks
