Just to follow up, I removed /var/spool/exim/db, shortly after it was
recreated, the problem started reoccouring. Last night I totally removed
/var/spool/exim, /usr/local/etc/exim and the entire exim package.
I then reinstalled it from ports, and I have not had the issue since (+12
hours at this stage). I did lose my mailq in the process, but at least I'm
no longer getting:
pr 29 22:05:32 mail /kernel: Apr 29 22:05:32 mail /kernel: pid 95692
(exim-4.14-1), uid 26: exited on signal 11
Apr 29 22:05:32 mail /kernel: Apr 29 22:05:32 mail /kernel: pid 95693
(exim-4.14-1), uid 26: exited on signal 11
Apr 29 22:05:34 mail /kernel: Apr 29 22:05:34 mail /kernel: pid 95691
(exim-4.14-1), uid 26: exited on signal 11
filling my logs.
