Sorry for not reading properly.

I have checked now for 2 messages which have been in the queue for 10
days and could not find their message logs e.g. 194azP-0004lw-00 which
should be in tye /P/ subdirectory but is not. Not even a "find
. -name 194azP-0004lw-00" in the /opt/exim/spool/msglog could find it.

I thought I was sure then when I checked again after your message I
saw that I changed the startup script for exim when our
exchange-server was down about a week or two ago. Normally it starts
up with daemon /usr/sbin/exim -bd -q1m in /etc/init.d and I have
removed the -q1m --- and forgot about it.

That was probably the problem.

Thanks for your help. I am sure everything will get back to normal
now.
