Kurt Zeilenga from the openldap project told be, that DN quoting is defined
by 2253 and implemented by OpenLDAP this way.
That means, that both RFC 1779 and my suggestion (hexadekadic coding) are
obsolete (in fact: wrong).
This means practically, that quote_ldap_dn should be right the way it is.
Probably, Philip, You may add a simple comment like "follows RFC 2253" or so
to the code, so that everyone can get the gory details if he/she wants.
