I've never used it, but here's a link to a review of the product...

It seems to do virus scanning, banner attachments, and other things. I
would think you could do all these things with free (beer/speech) software
just as well.

Hi All.

Apologies for being a little bit off topic but I just got thrown a bit of a
curve and I thought I'd resort to asking you guys.

After a year or so of being out of the loop with regard to mail, my
department is due to take control of the mailhub and virus scanning
functions.

Clearly I'm interested in getting some spam scoring mechanisms in and my
plan was simply to use spamassassin. However a colleague mentioned that a
product called PureMessage by a company called active state was worth
buying. I've never actually heard of it so I thought I'd ask if anyone here
is using it/has used it? - If so does it compare favourably with
spamassassin etc etc.
