It's not a good idea to operate an SMTP mail server with dynamically
assigned IP (other than perhaps ODMR). While I can't cite RFCs that say it
can't or shouldn't be done (perhaps others on the list can and will in
follow-up), a look at the following thread on the RFCI-discuss mailing list
will give you some insight into why not to, and why AOL isn't accepting
your mail.
