Hello,
I'm a new to e-mail administration and basically I want someone to
confirm that it is Exim that I want to use.
I'm doing a university computer science degree and for my final year
project. I'm creating an ISP and then offering VISP (Virtual ISP)
services, where a company has an administration webpage, where they can
add usernames and passwords for dial-ups for there account(which is
completed) and add e-mail addresses to a domain.For example if I owed
'domain.com', the user could add ' <
mailto:'anybody@domain.com'>
anybody@??? <
mailto:'anybody@domain.com> '.
In an ideal world I would like to use an existing account like a
btinternet address, then disguise it with my new domain. eg '
<
mailto:'anybody@domain.com'> anybody@???
<
mailto:'anybody@domain.com> ' would really be
'anybody@???', and any mail sent to '
<
mailto:'anybody@domain.com'> anybody@???
<
mailto:'anybody@domain.com> ' would actually be sent to the btinternet
account.
Also how can I take control of a domain, to be able to add the anybody
part to the e-mail address.
I'm currently running Redhat 8.0, and my ISP is an all-in-one-box
solution, using FreeRADIUS, MySQL, and Portslave, I'm also running
Apache and PHP.
Is it Exim that I want? If not what would you recommend?
