I recently had to restore my system from a backup and somehow in the process
my sendmail symlink to exim got replaced with the original copy of the
sendmail binary.
Before I discovered this my system generated a couple email messages to
root@localhost.
I am using a MySQL user db and root@localhost is aliased to my user account.
I never got the emails to root@localhost because exim was not working
properly due to the symlink being replaced by the actual sendmail.
Any idea where the messages to root@localhost could have ended up?
