True, but /24 is special, and makes these easier for a human to parse.

I've got an /etc/hosts.allow/deny list (not for email)
131.111.16.0/23
131.111.18.0/24
131.111.20.0/25
131.111.20.192/26
(worse - I have to spell the masks out as 255.255.255...)

I'd go made reading it if it were:
131.111.17.192/255.255.254.0
131.111.18.128/255.255.255.0
131.111.20.127/255.255.255.128
131.111.20.255/255.255.255.192
