Hi all,
I am posting this question to both mailing lists in the hope that it
finds its way to an inbox belonging to someone who has delt with the same
issue before.
I am running Exim 4.10, Spamassassin 2.44 and a modified version of
vm-pop3d.
Here is how it all works:
incomming mail is routed and transported by Exim, passed through
Spamassassin and dropped into the users mailbox. The users mailbox, is
Virtual, that is to say, its not a real UNIX user, but rather a file in the
real unix users mail folder. example:
/home/domain.com
/home/domain.com/mail
/home/domain.com/mail/virtualuser1
/home/domain.com/mail/virtualuser2
/home/domain.com/mail/virtualuser3
...
passwords kept in:
/etc/virtual/domain.com/passwd
Right now I am currently using a server wide SA conf file (-C
/usr/local/share/spamassassin
OK, here is the $64 question:
Is there a way to configure Spamassassin (map ??) to look for EITHER:
-The real uninx owners user_prefs file (so the domain owner can control SA
for whole domain)
or
-make individual user_prefs files for each virtual user.
