I was just googling for some help with exim (to be followed with another
post here no doubt) and happened across

description of Exim:
No sendmail.cf, no costly MS Exchange licensing, just a keep-it-simple,
robust and extremely flexible MTA which does what's required. We've been
using and configuring this software for two years and it's never failed to
make us appreciate well designed software.
