Subject: [Exim] [Exim-4.12 + Fetchmail] - System filter question.
Linux
Exim-4.12 (+exiscan)
Fetchmail-6.2.1

I'm experiencing a configuration problem with the above setup.

Mail is fetched (fetchmail) over an intermittent pppd link from a number
of ISP POP3 boxes, for a number of local users, by one local user (via
fcron). It is then distributed to local user mailboxes by Exim.

My problem involves the system filter.

If a message addressed to xyz@??? invokes the system filter fail
option, the resulting bounce has the users local address present and not
the original 'addressee' xyz@???.

e.g.

"A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its
recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:

    localuser@???
      delivery cancelled

------ This is a copy of the message, including all the headers. ------"

Can I place the original address (xyz@???) in the bounce message
instead of the local user?.
