[Exim] Confused - relaying from local host prohibited

I am trying to set up exim with fetchmail, however when I pull down
mail I get "2003-02-07 19:08:08 refused relay (host) to
<mike@localhost> from <redtuxxx@???> H=localhost.localdomain
(localhost) [127.0.0.1]
"

I have tried

adding localhost to host_accept_relay =, local_domains =,
relay_domains

getting stuck now
