Re: [Exim] failure to transfer data

Further to my previous message, I have done further investigation and am somewhat
baffled, though I have fixed it.

I ran "exim -M <msg-id>" to see what that reported, expecting then to have to do the
same with debugging. That gave me three error lines reporting "permission denied"
on one of my cdb files, before giving the "failure to transfer data ..." message.

The cdb file is used in my re-writing rules and several routers and was being
accessed using the uid of the user whose .forward file was involved. The
"permission denied" error was because the cdb file did not have world read access.

What I don't understand is why there is never a problem for all the other users who
have .forward files?
