Subject: [Exim] Not delivering mail: connection timed out systematically
Exim is not delivering mail since 8 hours ago.
Although incoming mail is handled properly, outgoing
mail stopped working at 16:51:48 after this message:

2003-02-05 16:51:48 18gRmv-0001eE-00
mx1.mail.yahoo.com
[64.157.4.84]: Connection timed out
2003-02-05 16:53:01 Start queue run: pid=6409
2003-02-05 16:53:01 18gRmv-0001eE-00 Spool file is
locked
(another process is handling this message)
2003-02-05 16:53:01 End queue run: pid=6409

Since then, any delivery attempt results in a
"connection timed out" message, whatever the remote
mail server is. With the netstat utility, all I see is
a SYN_SENT from my mail server to the remote server,
but no response beyond that. I tried a telnet to port
25 on the remote host and works fine.

Exim is running in Debian Linux, from inetd. Any help
would be appreciated.
