[Exim] Errors with exim4 and aliases-file

Hi,

on our mailhub we have the following /etc/aliases file structure:


root:
root,\user1@???,\user2@???,\user3@???,\user4@???


Now our Notes-Server behind the mailhub remarks and complains about
the backslash in the email-addresses.
I suppose that exim doesn't need the backslashes...
Can this be true?
