On the BSDs the master.password file is used to generate three other
files, /etc/passwd, /etc/pwd.db, and /etc/spwd.db. The databases are
used for password lookups rather than the text files. You can regenerate
them with the command `pwd_mkdb -p /etc/master.passwd`.
