[Exim] compile error

I'm trying to compile with mysql support, and always get this error message
when I run "make".


/etc/mysql-3.23/lib/libmysqlclient.a(my_compress.o): In function
`my_uncompress':
my_compress.o(.text+0x12a): undefined reference to `uncompress'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[1]: *** [exim] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/etc/exim-3.34/build-Linux-i386'
make: *** [go] Error 2


Anyone seen it before and know how I can fix it?
