Hum... I have not read anything about -STABLE being broken.

$ man trace
$ trace exim -v -d -q15m > trace_file
^C
$ less trace_file

That's about it.

Urgh! Have you tried it outside the jail for now? Just to check it's
not the jail that breaks it.
