Whilst it's good as far as it goes, the system filter method is
unfortunately a bit limited, and last time I checked the filter is no
longer maintained. If you really want to stop viruses, you're better off
with a proper virus scanner and/or install Exiscan and use the "file
extension blocker" in it.

Having said that, there was some discussion a while ago about viruses that
are getting round the system filter, and ways to possibly stop it, but
unfortunately I can't remember what the result was. I'd still recommend
using something a bit more advanced though.
