Not exactly what you wanted, but try:
http://mail.tmtowtdi.de/exim/exim-4.11-stat.patch
try echo '${stat{FILENAME}}' | exim -be to see how it works, you can use
${expand} to extract the flags.
This is only tested with linux, I doubt that it will work very well on
other systems, because the size of the fields could differ.
