Hi all,
I am having a problem with exim 4.10 on redhat 7.3. Strange thing is I
have two identical machines and it works ok on one. If I type
/usr/local/exim/bin/exim -v Address@???
then enter
To: Valid address
From: Valid address
Subject: test
blank line
I get
LOG: MAIN PANIC
Expansion of
$1@${lookup{${lc:$2}}dbm{/usr/local/exim/mappings/host-translation.db}{$value}fail} failed while rewriting: failed to open /usr/local/exim/mappings/host-translation.db as a db (v3/4) file: Permission denied (euid=500 egid=500)
LOG: PANIC DIE
Cannot open main log file "/usr/local/exim/spool/log/mainlog":
Permission denied: euid=500 egid=500
2002-12-13 13:43:42 18Mq6J-0007lM-00 Cannot open main log file
"/usr/local/exim/spool/log/mainlog": Permission denied: euid=500
egid=500
exim: could not open panic log - aborting: original error above
user exim is the owner of all those files. Can anybody suggest anything
I have forgotten to check ?
