[Exim] Exim not answering

Hi all,

I have a problem with Exim version 3-12-10 running on a Debian potato
system. I have been running this for 18 months with no changes or problems.
Starting last week, after the exim has been up for a few minutes, people
start gettting timeouts connecting to the server on port 25. I have found
that if I telnet into the box, the connection gets picked up after a delay
of a few minutes. I have run the server with -d11 but found no log messages
that help. I have removed the exim package and reinstalled it from scratch
with the configuration file that we have been using all along, to no avail.
Below is the log that I get up until the server stops responding properly.
