One of the changes that is in the next release of Exim is as follows:
2. There is a new option called smtp_return_error_details, which defaults
false. In the default state, Exim uses bland messages such as
"Administrative prohibition" when it rejects SMTP commands for policy
reasons. Many sysadmins like this because it gives away little information
to spammers. However, some other syadmins who are applying strict checking
policies want to give out much fuller information about failures. Setting
smtp_return_error_details true causes Exim to be more forthcoming. For
example, instead of "Administrative prohibition", you might get:
550-Rejected after DATA: '>' missing at end of address:
550 failing address in "From" header is: <user@???
If you want this feature before the official release, you will find it
in the current testing snapshot.
