Subject: [Exim] how to retrieve virtual domain variable not the server domain name ??
Hi there,

I have configured an autoreply transport with the exim help file with
our advice but I have try different variable to get the user domain with
no success

here is the transport

vacation_reply:
driver = autoreply
file = ${home}/tripnote
file_expand
log = ${home}/tripnote.log
once = ${home}/tripnote.db
from = ${local_part}@???
<< how can I retrieve the mydomain variable for the user
to = $sender_address
subject = "Re: $h_subject"
text = "\
#Dear $h_from\n\n\
<< Why did I need to comment this line when I restart exim it said that
the variable does not exist...
This is an automatic reply. Feel free to send additional\n\
mail, as only this one notice will be generated. The following\n\
is a prerecorded message, sent for ${local_part}@???:\n\
<< how can I retrieve the mydomain variable for the user
====================================================\n\n\
"
I know that there is a solution because when i wrote a unauthaurized
string it send me an error message from mailer-deamon this is a part of
the message

this message was created automatically by mail delivery software (Exim).

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its
recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:

auto2@???

(ultimately generated from auto2@??? <mailto:auto2@teamtime.ch>
) so if the mailer deamon can know the domain from this user I can too
on my autoreply not???

Expansion of "${local_part}@${virtual.domain}" failed in vacation_reply
transport:

"${virtual" is not a known operator (or a } is missing in a variable
reference) I was trying from = ${local_part}@${virtual_domain}
